really upset and scared...your thoughts???

I had a beta done last Tuesday and it was 942, two days later (last Thursday) it was 1947.
Today it was only 3700.
The nurse was like your numbers are doubling and I was like, what is the number....and she said 3700 (something in that range my head started spinning the second I heard that as I was expecting her to say something in the 7K range)
SO I said to her, shouldn't it have doubled twice since last time and she was like, no it's ok as long as it's going up.
I honestly think she had no idea when I took my last test or what she was talking about.
Of course I hung up and burst into tears.
Should I be concerned???????????? Any input will be greatly appreciated........

yeah I wish...I think the week is going to drag as slow as possible!! Trying to keep busy at work, and god knows I have enough work to keep me busy!!!

If you do call back, ask to speak to your Doctor and not the nurse, (i never take information from the nurse, i need my Doctor to tell me my lab results, they may think im anal but oh well, the Dr is the one caring for me. That way, if you have questions you can ask the Dr and hope to get them answered.

thanks everyone! I went to bed and took a good long nap and I'll try to hang in there. I might call and ask to move u/s up/ I'll see how crazy my mind is tomorrow.

Your numbers look good but I can see why you are concerned.  I would call them back again or try to move up your ultrasound if you can.  They are rising and they are good, but just to ease your mine.

Once the numbers reach 2000 (ish) it takes more like 3 - 3.5 days for them to double.  (Slows down around that 2000 mark.)  I really think your numbers are within the normal range.  (((  Hugs  )))

I agree with NicMom, but you have to relax..I know easier said then done...Friday will be here before you know it!!

If it's going to drive you crazy then I would just call the office back and ask the nurse to double check the numbers to make sure everything is ok. Other than that there isn't anything you can do until Friday. Try to hang in there.

I understand your concern, but wouldn't worry too much since your numbers are still rising. Have you had an ultrasound? When do you have to go back to the doctor? I will say a prayer for you!
