First u/s today!

So I finally have my u/s today!!! Apointment is in an hour. It's killing me! I'm SO nervous, esp after hearing my last beta numbers. I never did a repeat after last Monday. The Dr. didn't see a need for a nother nor did I ask for one because I was driving myself crazy with the numbers!
I should be 6W 1D (since LMP), so I'm praying to see a good strong heartbeat today.
My husbands not coming, I told him to not take thetime off of work, save it for the big u/s at 12weeks or whenever it is, but now I'm kinda wishing he was coming just for moral support. then again sometimes he just makes me more anxious!!
So what have others seen on u/s around this time?

Vaginal u/s and they can measure it that way.
I actually haven't seen the Dr. yet, but I have an appointment on the 25th I think with the Dr. This one they did was because of my previous history of m/c. So I asked if I will still have the routine one at 8 weeks and the u/s tech said she would imagine and that they would be coded differently so the insurance would definitly pay for it. SO the nurse didn't schedule me for an 8 week u/s but I'm gonna call back and schedule one at 8 weeks!

That is awsome.  Did the dr do a vaginal u/s to hear heartbeat or use a doppler, how did she measure the heart rate?

Measured perfectly. Heart rate was 109!!
I asked if it should be faster, and she seemed very comfortable with it ans said this early on this is perfectly normal and then it increases in the next couple of weeks to between 120-180
I guess, I'll have one more in 2 weeks!!

I hope that's I see the heartbeat. Did they tell you the rate??
They say that once you see the heartbeat at a good rate your chance of m/c  is below 5% I think!
I was just thinking this morning, when I was pregnant with my daughter, I believe I went to the ER at like 6/7 weeks and had an u/s done and I saw a heartbeat. I couldn't believe that I had forgotten about that!! LOL....you always think you'll remember everything about your preg. or even about your babies (like their first word and when ) and I don't!!!

Yea, good luck.  I had my first u/s at 5w3d and it was a disappointment, saw only a sac which left me with the thought of is this a viable pregnancy, will it grow etc. Then i had a repeat u/s at 7weeks, which i saw the baby and the fluttering heart, i dont think my dr will do the listening of the heartbeat until 12 weeks, but i will be asking her when i go in for 9weeks bcuz she will use the portable u/s to make sure its growing and heart is fluttering.

Your appt will go well, make sure you tell them to give you a pic so you can put it on your profile. You should see a little baby, and if the heart has started beating you will see this little space fluttering, or moving in and out. yolk sac should be present if im not mistaken, but dont get alarmed if there is no heartbeat, some women dont see one then they go back at 8-9week appt and its there.

Good luck, please post the good news when you get back.
