I'm now 27 weeks! Just had my midwife appointment and everything is going well. I have to take that glucose test as well at some point in the next week or so so hopefully that turns out good as well.
My fundal height(?) measurement is right on target at 27 cm, babies heartbeat is 135 bpm, and I've gained 15 pounds! Been gaining a nice steady pound a week for the past 6 weeks so hopefully it stays steady and on track!
Baby has been moving lots, and mainly on my right side, and kinda farther back so I'm curious as to how exactly she's laying. I don't think I'm going to have another ultrasound until about 32 weeks so got a ways to go before I get to see my princess again.
My house which is under reno's is slowly coming together, I'm sure it'll be done on time but it's still so nerve racking! Drywall will be going up soon though, and after that it should come together super fast! I'm just dying to set up my babies room though lol, it's going to be a beautiful yellow colour. Also I planted grass seed in my pitiful yard and it's finally starting to sprout which is exciting!
Oh also! My midwife let me borrow this book to read called "Ina May's Guide to Childbirth" by Ina May. I definitely highly recommend it to everyone, half of it is simply full of empowering natural birth stories of other woman! It's really an encouraging read and gives me so much more confidence in my own bodies power to be able to have a great birth experience!
I also hit 29 weeks yesterday. I continue to go to physical therapy for pubis symphis dysfunction, which is getting better, but my therapist now says that my abdominal muscles are separating (i know this can be pretty common), but now I have to have my muscles taped - so along with my pelvic support braces, I look like Frankenstein.
I finally got a crib, which feels good and am going shopping tomorrow to start a registry. I do not have any showers planned - most of my friends and all of my family are out of town and my close friend in town believes that it is bad luck to have a shower before the baby is born so she will only organize one for me after the baby is born (at that point, I might as well just do an informal meet and greet). I am sure my work will throw me a shower but it will be a "surprise" and I will likely get mainly clothes and cute things - so I plan on getting most of the big stuff myself.
I was a little disappointed to learn that the childbirth class I wanted to take is full - so I will have to come up with a plan B, and fast. There is so much to do, I can't believe I only have 11 weeks to get it all accomplished in - and that is if I am lucky enough to go to term.
Good luck to everyone in these last few months!
My doc wasn't planning to do the 3D ultrasounds until 35 weeks...he said the face is much fuller then.
I hit 29 weeks yesterday...had an u/s and OB appt. This little bugger didn't cooperate at the u/s so we never even got to see his face...and this was our 3D opportunity :( I think by 7/28 I'll be 35 weeks and too far for 3D, but we will see. All his measurements were good (measuring ahead) and my placenta has moved up and out of the way of my cervix. They are estimating him at 3lb 5oz already....big boy! The nurse at my OB appt says I'm going to have a 10 pounder! OUCH!!
My swelling is increasing, so my doctor is putting me on limited work activity now - 4 hours per day. Of course my boss is off today, so will have to talk with her on Monday and figure out a schedule. I'm looking forward to some additional time off....I'm tired and I have a cross stitch sampler to get working on before this little guy gets here!
Only about 10 more weeks....hopefully a few less though!
Most of you read my update on 18-34 but i'll summarize again :)
My 28 week appt was yest. I'm exactly 28 weeks today. My doc agreed to do another ultrasuond between now and 35 weeks so I have one July 1st (YAY). He also checked to make sure my cervix wasn't doing anything it wasn't supposed to at this point becuase I've been having a lot of pressure and discomfort down there. Turns out the baby and changed positions and is now head down, that's why it hurts. I've only gained a total of 10 lbs so far. I start going every two weeks now, that should REALLY help to make the time pass faster.
AFter having the pelvic exam yesterday I went to walmart and was having a good bit of pressure and discomfort. Then last night I woke up TWICE becuase I swear it felt like she was trying to push her way out of my cervix. Fortunately rolling on my side forced her to move off of my cervix and releived the pain.
I'm really excited about this next ultrasound. My last one was at 20 weeks and she still resembled a bit of an alien. At this one she should look more like she will when she is born. I had one at 29 wks and 33 wks with my last one and his 3D pics look IDENTICAL to him when he was born. I'm planning on taking all my kids to this ultrasound. They were in school when we had the last one. My docs office has it set up so the woman goes in this little room with the u/s tech and they have a couch and big flat screen set up in a private hallway outside the u/s room where the family can watch. I really want to remember to take a video tape and have this one recorded. I'm also gonna see if they have a way to put the pictures on disk.
I'm 29 weeks today! I can't believe I will be considered full term in 9 weeks.
I had some braxton hicks contractions last night that were pretty painful. I was a little concerned they were every minute or less for about 10 minutes. Then they went away.
I had a Dr apt this afternoon. I was in waiting room for 2 hours and then exam room for another hour. I think that is a record for this Dr. My old OB I was never out of his office under 3 hours.
My baby shower is on Saturday and I'm super excited! I sent out 35 invites but only got 11 RSVP's back. I really hope that people just didn't rsvp and still plan on coming.
Once the shower is over I get to start shopping for the stuff I need. I really hope that I can afford all of it now that I'm not making any tips with day shifts.
We decided we are moving when our lease is up which is only 3 days before my due date. YAY it's gonna be so much fun.
I'm 27 weeks now, and going through a few problems but it's nothing that can't be worked out. It's mind boggling to think I come to term in 10 weeks and she'll be here within the next 13 weeks. I get to take my glucose test soon so I'm hoping I pass that, though the idea of drinking sugar is revolting. (I can't even stand a few drinks of soda) Kylie is moving all night long and never wants to let me sleep. DF said she's going to be just like me.
It's exciting to think that we're all getting so close to the end. I can't wait to see everyone's baby pictures in a few weeks. :)
I hit 28 weeks yesterday!
This is the fastest pregnancy I have had. I cant believe we only have about 12 wks left to go
I'm having a 3D/4D Ultrasound on Saturday morning. I am so excited for that!
My 2 girls, husband, Dad and sister in law are coming. Just hoping baby lets us get a good look at her!
I have to get blood work done tomorrow. Check all my levels see if everything is good!
I had WLS Sept 2008 So there are some vitamins that I dont absorb anymore.
So hoping my blood work comes back great!
Hubby and I CANNOT find a name for our third girl!
It's so hard this time!
Anyways...Goodluck to everyone here!
i am 29 weeks now, and awaiting my 3 hour gluecose results. I am also addicted to buying things off my own registry!
well, today I am exactly 26 weeks! I cannot believe how the fast the time is flying by. I am excited I have my baby shower coming up on July 1st, it is actually a joint baby shower with my sister because she is due the week before me...lol...I am doing well although I failed my 1 hour test and now have to go back for the 2 hour test, I am so bummed about that. Other than that though I just had my doc appt and he said I am one healthy girl. The baby is doing well, kicking a lot and I am just working my butt off to save some money for when maternity leave rolls around!
