Well I think I failed the 2nd round of testing. I had lab let me see results and I haven't talked to my dr yet. But it looks like I'm slightly over on the 1st 2 sceenings and ok on the 3rd. Makes me upset but I'll have to get educated and do what's best for me and baby. Just trying to stay positive!
I failed both the one hr and three hr. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and just started my new "diet" and got my glucose monitor today. The doctor explained to me that it had nothing to do with my previous diet but that it was all hormonal and hereditary.
I failed the 1st glucose test and tomorrow morning taking 3 hr one! I'm upset that this has happened. Ive watched my sugar and been working out at the gym still! I worked out b4 my pregnancy and now this! I did eat tons and tons of fruit my 2nd trimester! Would that have something to do with me failing? That's all my baby girl wanted to eat!
Idk what their point is. The first round was in the first trimester and now they say it's normal to do this in the third trimester. Maybe I'll just ignore their orders and go low carb to help lower the blood sugar.
After getting so sick after the one hour test and failing i raised my white flag. I declined the three hour test and opted to monitor my blood sugar 2 hours after meals. The diet I was giving hasnt been too hard to follow and it still allows me to eat my favorite foods im moderation.
Isn't the 3 hour one more accurate and the results are supposed to be more conclusive than the 1 hour? I'm confused as to why they would even give you the 1 hour again? What was the point?
If you're sort of on the border, then you sound like you don't have GD with insulin problems but your sugar levels can get a little crap. That means you don't need the strict diet, but it wouldn't hurt you to half follow it and make a few adjustments to your diet here and there just for your overall health and energy. I wouldn't bother going back if it was me but depends on how sure you want to be...
