I had the same feeling.  I went to an ER, I had a cyst that had burst but baby was ok!

I was experiencing the same pain when I found out I was pregnant. It was a sharp pain, and it came and went and was worse with sudden movement. Of course my worst and immediate fear was that it was an ectopic pregnancy. I've had two previous miscarriages, so my gyn had me come in for an early ultrasound. I was only 5 weeks at the time of the ultrasound, and the pain was because of an ovarian cyst. It was SUCH a relief to find out it wasn't serious. If you haven't seen your doc yet you should get in as soon as possible. It could just be a cyst which is very common and will occur on the side that you had ovulated from. I had another ultrasound at 6w3d and the cyst was still there but it isn't large enough to cause any concern and the pain had gotten much better. They will typically go away on their own but you should get it checked out. Also remember that your uterus is growing and stretching and making room for baby, so there will be lots of unfamiliar pains and such around your pelvis.
