how many weeks were you when you heard your babys heart beat

I had my midwife today I am 8 weeks I asked if she could try and listen to my baby's heart beat for the first she said it is to soon and I am to wait till my 12 week scan. With my first child I am so sure I was 6-8 weeks when I heard his heart beat.

With my first I heard/saw heartbeat through ultrasound at 7 weeks, my second I heard/saw the heartbeat around 15 weeks because that when I went for an proof of pregnancy I thought I was 8 weeks lol but there was a baby not a peanut lol. With this baby I heard around 9 weeks with the Doppler. She told me she could try to find the heartbeat but it's still to early and then she found it and then lost it because baby was moving around to much. She says it's because I'm so skinny.

With a Doppler there's no way to hear it that early, though it can often be seen with ultrasound as early as 7ish weeks. Using a Doppler it generally takes until at least 11-13 weeks before it can be heard.
