can I dye my hair?

This is my first pregnancy and im 8 weeks pregnant. I have bright red hair that is now an ugly orange color I use splat hair dye but I dont bleach my hair everytime. Is it okay if I just use the red dye? Or will it harm the baby?

I've dyed my hair like three times throughout my pregnancy and I have a perfectly healthy baby boy at 32 weeks.
However I didn't use dyes with ammonia.
Some people say to wait until the second trimester, I dyed my hair at about 12 weeks. I personally don't think there is any problem with it, the scalp doesn't absorb enough dye chemicals to harm your baby.

Just make sure you're in a well ventilated area and try to get ammonia free dye and you should be fine (: Although it's recommended to wait until your second trimester

I think there's a certain type of dye that you can use. Ask your doctor though because my doctor told me not to use any my first 3 months. after the 3 months I dye my hair with my first baby and she came out prefectly fine at 40wks. I've dye my hair with this baby and I'm 23 weeks so I'm sure its fine.

Yeah ammonia free stuff is best. I actually find it works better. Doesn't smell bad either.

I used splat while pregnant with my son and it's harmless since it's not permanent and i use it now and I'm 17 weeks.
