That's what my doctor says it could be. It's just so extremely painful and unrelenting, I had no idea it would be so bad even just laying here! I've tried baths and Tylenol and it helps a little but not much. I've felt for a ridge in my middle abdomen and didn't feel anything so I don't think I have recti thing. I hope you ladies feel better soon.

I had the same ripping sensation but I felt it in my upper abdomen, whenever I walked or moved. When I described it to my Dr she advised that I had diastasis recti..where the muscles in your stomach rip. She advised nothing can be done, it will heal on its own after delivery..and she recommended that I take Tylenol for the pain. Not sure if this is what you have though.
I've had some pretty bad pain. They say it's normal because your ligaments are stretching because your uterus is growing. Take you a nice warm bath and relax. Or if you have a heating pad put it where it hurts that's what I always do.
