About fertigyn injection

I'm 25 years old and I'm in 19th week of my pregnancy. At my 6 week I had a varginal bleeding and after that my doctor want me to continue the fertigyn injection every 10days.
So far my baby growth is very normal and after the 5th month scan my doctor told me to stop the injection.
Did anyone is having this injection or know about why this should be followed? And also is there any side effects for me as well as baby?
