I've gone thru this with my bf, he has severe anxiety and used to get panic attacks so bad he would scream out for help. I would stand with him, and rub his lower back. He usually had a hard time trying to talk so there were times we would be standing for an hr or longer..me talking to him would sometimes calm him as well. At the time he had taken himself off of his meds because he didnt feel that they were helping and as long as he was distracted,  husband breathing would slow down and the heart palpitations would ease up as well.

It could most definitely go away after the pregnancy especially if you didn't have a history of it before. Worrying too much will make it worse. Just try to relax. I know it's harder than it sounds...

I had anxiety before I got pregnant and the whole first trimester i was fine now that im in the 2nd trimester my panic attacks have started again, they drive my boyfriend crazy but i talked to my docter about it and shes refering me to a therepist so its hopeful that ill have someone to talk to about all that im feeling. To calm me i take a cold then hot shower then i lay naked (sorry if tmi ) under my bedroom fan and it cools my body down till im breathing is calmer. Hope you feel better hun, we will all get through this

I haven't been able to pin point the cause of the attack. It's really scary. I don't wnt anything to happen to my baby girl.

It may, what does your anxiety revolve around? Are you able to pin point it out? I have had anxiety before the pregnancy, and at first it was worse then it had ever been for me. I've never had panic attacks before the pregnancy but had a lot during. I found scrapbooking, crafting of any type really and reading helps me the most.

I've never taken medication for it, I never thought medication was what I needed, someone to talk too was what I've always needed. And just recently as of last week I've gotten someone to talk too, through this program I am in through WIC. It is called hands on, but different sometimes in other states.

I still have anxiety, sometimes bad sometimes mellow. But it usually revolves around my baby and her arriving soon and what I'm going to do and stuff. It stresses me out to the max majority of the time.

And they would also talk to me about something completely off topic!

Anxiety causes depression bc of the hormone it releases. The one thing that helped me was getting naked standing up and getting ice cold water poured over me. Unfortunately that stopped working when they get horribly bad. The emts would make me sit up and take a deep breath while making sure my feet were firmly pressed down on the ground and they would make sure all the lights were on. For some reason that helped a lot.

ThAnk you ladies, I go see my doctor on Tuesday next week. She recommends me to see a therapist also. I don't know how it came about,  but very difficult for me too sleep, loss of appetite, and a change of breathing and heart palpitation Whike I'm having the attack. I've tried milk it doesn't work. When I called the doctor the first thing the nursed asked me was, if I wanted to hurt myself?!?!

I suffer from ptsd and severe anxiety. For a good 3 months I had severe panic attacks every single day sometimes I'd have 12 panic attacks. I ended up having to call 911 for about 2 months straight bc they got so bad. I started not sleeping as much bc I would only have them the second I woke up. So then I started watching netflix till I couldn't possibly stay up any longer and i haven't had one in 2 months. They can be extremely dangerous for baby. You just need to tell yourself everything is okay..
