Hello I was wondering how many of you have children close in age? Was it hard taking care of them? Mom's that have waited was do you wish you could have had your children closer together?

My first 2 boys are 2yrs + 3mths apart (8 & 6 yrs old now) im currently 27+2 weeks pregnant with number 3. I found it a tad hard with the first 2 as their bio father wasnt around much and didnt help really at all. But i love how close they both are and the love they have for each other is amazing. It took me a few years to find a man worthy of being in my boys lives and now we are expecting our lil girl in May. My boys love their new daddy and cant wait to meet their little sister :)

Ours will be 22 months apart. We were aims for 2 years and pretty much got that. From our past experience growing up we have close relationships with our siblings that close together. So that is why we did it. I guess we will see how it goes. My 1st is easy going and isn't phased by much so I hope that will continental in a month when #2 arrives

Bree, it will be okay.  Again, there are plus sides to it too.  My sons are close in age so also a bit like friends (when they aren't enemies).  ha ha.  They are into the same things and can play together which is nice.

I'm pregnant with baby number 2 I'm 10 weeks and my first born is 7 months old so they will be 14 months apart I'm not unhappy about it but I wish I would have waited so that I had time to watch my son grow a little more

My two are 15 months apart.  My recommendation is to space them further than that if you can.  Truth is, I was so tired with baby number two on the scene that it is all a blur.  I wish had more time to just focus on him but I had a toddler to chase after as well that I also didn't want to miss out on any time with.  I was always tired and not always my best self.  (but did my best).

There are some good things about it too.  Don't get me wrong.  And I wouldn't trade my family for anything.  But it's hard to have them close together.  My sweet (ha ha) sister cut out an article and gave it to me that was about how kids close together are at an academic disadvantage because parents don't spend as much one on one time with them working on these things.  My kids are both fine in that area but it is true that it is harder to give each special, individual attention.  You have to make an effort. Only kids are often academically advanced when they enter school because they had all the focus on them.   But it all evens out as time goes on.
And whatever our situation is with kids and their spacing, you love them and make it work.  good luck

My first is 7 and my second is 16 months. I love it. I didnt want to have another baby until my son was 4 but now im pregnant again and he'll be almost 2 when i have this one. I prefer having a space apart.
