Try fresh cherries (steer cleer of cherry tart juice, it works instantly but can be really dangerous during pregnancy..,works lile a colonoscopy prep drink) but not too many because it can have a laxative effect and cause contractions if you have too many...5 fresh cherries and a full super cold glass of water can typically get things going right away and give you relief. Best wishes and I hope that you feel better ASAP.
Apples are mild laxatives. With the skin on they provide added fiber. The key to regularity seems to be lots of fluid, fiber, and avoiding cloying and binding foods like starches and cheeses and dense meats. Avoid caffiene which is a diuretic. Some of the best things are raw salads with oily dressing, canteloupe, strawberries, apples... Almost any fruits really. 8+ glasses of water a day. Activia or probiotic rich yogurts or foods (sauerkraut, pickles,) also helps. Last recourse... Colace, miralax ate both safe per my ob and I use them now and again.
Eat lots of salad, drink lots of water and drink or eat prunes.
Try metamucil. The only thing that helped me was colace and a few times had to do Miralax. Doctor approved all those.
As far as I know, apples result in constipation and especially if you eat its skin along. You should try pulpy fruits like oranges. They add fiber to the diet. And water/other fluids are mandatory to get the fiber intake moving

I just realized that my auto correct changed that constipation to constitution. Awesome.
