Do i Have to warm up babys bottle?

I never considered Not warming up her bottle but I just saw this question somewhere else. Some have Never warmed up a bottle to prevent baby from refusing a bottle and reduce hassle of having to warm on the go others prefer to because it's just nice for the baby. I know warm milk helps babies fall asleep easier but is it a necessity?

Please note that it is very harmful if you put a baby bottle in the microwave. I ALWAYS warmed my kids bottles as I dried up way to early with my kids. Put some hot water in a bowl and put the bottle in it. Check frequently as it can warm up fast.

Try using thermos to keep the water warm and just mix the bottle when the baby is ready to eat!

For my first son I warmed his bottle just because...but it kinda did become difficult at times when we were out because the water would easily become at room temperature and my baby wouldn't accept it because he became picky since i always warmed it up...sometimes it was impossible for me to find a way to warm it up and I'd have to rush home, then in hot weather my baby would still refuse a cooler bottle...so in a way I think room temperature bottle is good, I think I will be doing it that way with my 2nd baby.

The difference between our breast milk is it's warm. It's coming from our body our body temp is what keeps the milk warm.room temperature can sometimes be cold. I'd prefer a warm bottle

Not cold but at least room temperature I'm thinking. I'll see what she prefers. I mean we don't heat up breast milk from our boobs when direct breastfeeding so what's the difference of we don't heat up a room temperature bottle?

We like our food/tea/coffe hot or warm,  so why should poor baby get his/her food always cold??? I don't get that

Thanks ladies. I think I'll try room temperature and see how she takes it of I'm unable to breastfeed. Less hassle same nutrition. (:

It really depends on the baby. Some will not take cold bottle.

I breastfed first then switched to formula. I had to warm the bottle as she refused to take room temp milk.

It's a bit more hassle to warm a bottle but so much more comforting for baby. C'mon, everyone likes warm milk :)

Depends on the baby. My first and third refused to take their milk at room temp I had to warm theirs, but my second child was happy with it this way. I wouldn't give it cold out the fridge and you can't store formula at room temp once it is made, so I would put the boiling water in the bottles and allow to cool to room temp and I had a little sectioned tupper ware which I could keep 3 bottles worth of measured powder in, so I added this when we were ready for it.

I never warmed either of my two childrens bottles, and it never hurt them. I fixed their bottles with room temp water and only warmed them a tad if they came out of the fridge. I'm now pregnant with my third child and plan on doing the same thing.
