Electronic Cigarettes?

I've been trying to quit smoking and have had a hard time. I did go from 2 packs a day to less then 10 but I really want to completely quit. I asked my doctor and she said shed prefer me use the patch, gum, e-cigarette or anything other than smoking. I bought  e-cigs, the lowest dose for 2 cartridges then no nicotine for the remaining cartridges. Has anyone else tried e-cigs while pregnant and successfully quit? I'm desperate to quit and will try anything.

yeah same here! I still felt super guilty about it at first even after my doc recommended the vape but after talking with other women who also do it and seeing healthy babies born to those women I feel better. my doc tells me all the time I should be proud bc most women cant quit at all its definitely hard

I use a vapirizor. its basically an e cig just different. you can smoke all diff flavors and such and all diff mgs of nicotene. I started at a high-ish level of nicotene and worked ny way down to 8mg and now I only hit it when I'm super stressed or sometimes after I eat a meal. my doc agreed with my vaping instead of continuing to smoke cigs because its not the nicotene that is harmful to the baby its the 7000 carcinogenic chemicals in cuts that are harmful.

Thanks my dear. So far no cigarettes for 48 hours and zero nicotine in the ecig. This is the longest I've been. I've had moments of difficulty but nothing too terrible. I'm trying to quit everything within the next 10 days. Thanks for your support ladies!

I quit cigarettes immediately when I found out I was pregnant and started using the e cigarette. Two weeks later I quit using that too! Good luck!

Thanks ladies. So far so good. No nicotine at all today and doing well. Mild headache but nothing bad yet. Ecig has been easy. I bought the no nicotine cartridge so I'm not getting any nicotine. It's been pretty good so far. Thanks again for your help!

My two best friends switched to ecigs while they were pregnant. They said it helped them a lot. One of them went back to regular cigarettes after she had the baby and one of them still only uses her ecig. I've never been a smoker but I'm sure it's hard to quit. It's good that you are making that effort for your baby. :)

I had a hard time, but at 14 weeks I finally quit. I couldn't stand the guilt anymore. Plus, I had lowered down to maybe 2 cigs a day I saw no point in continuing the bad habit. But, now I'm 32 weeks and I crave a cig sometimes. I just know after I have my little girl I'll smoke again. :( Good luck to you. You Can Do it.

I've never smoked, but I can only imagine how hard it would be to quit! You're doing such a good thing for your little one by trying to quit and putting in the effort! I know so many women who smoked heavily throughout the whole pregnancy and didn't once think about their babys health! Goodluck! :)
