Birth Story!!! Very long

I know I posted I was in labor, but I know some want to read birth stories so here I go. First, my sue date was 12/27. On 12/26 around 2 p.m. I woke up from a nap with mild contractions. Honestly, I thought they were Braxton hicks. I went back to sleep and felt more so I woke up around 3 p.m. and began to feel more in my lower abdominal area. I called l/d and they stated that I should not come in unless they were unbearable. I informed them that I have a high tolerance of pain and with my first, I came in at 6cm. They continued to insist I come in when they are worse. I decided to get dressed and go to the mall so I can walk and shop. I got to the mall around 5 pm and purchased some uggs and makeup. As we were leaving the mall, I started having more contractions. I decided to get something to eat because I felt I was in labor and did not want to have any heavy food on my stomach so I got soup. We were going to pick up our son from his grandmother's but I told my husband to turn around and just get the hospital bags and our son bag so we could drop it off to him. Once we arrived to drop our son bag off the pain started getting really bad. 15 mins later we arrived to l/d. The first thing they did was asked for my due date and had me pee in a cup. The contractions got so bad that it took me about 20 mins to change my clothes so my husband had to help me. Once I changed into the hospital gown, I was hooked up to the monitor and the doctor came in to check and stated I was 100% effaced and dilated 7 cm. I was having contractions every 5 minutes and they lasted longer than one minute. The doctor and nurse stated I was doing very good to be dilated to 7 cm by the time I arrived because most people come in at 3 or 4 cm. The nurse asked me is I wanted an epidural. At first I was against it since I did not have one with my first, but since my husband and nurse encouraged me to I really considered it and decided to get it since my obgyn stated he was estimated to be at least 8 pounds. Once I was placed in my delivery suite the contractions started to get really painful and I finally got the epidural. The nurse encouraged me to take a nap so I did because the unbearable pain went away. I woke up 2 hours later with a lot of pressure and my bottom was hurting. So the doctor checked me and I was only at a 8 1/2 and and my water was not broken; they wanted to wait and see if it would break on its on. 2 hours later the doctor checked me again and I was at a 9 and my water was leaking so she ruptured the bag. I began to feel more pressure and the nurse check me and I was at 9 1/2, I told her I needed to push so she called the doctor and she stated to push to see what would happen. The nurse had me push and my babies head was right there so the doctor came to the room and began to deliver my son. 10 minutes of pushing and he was out at 6:04 am, weighing 8lbs 2 ozs, and 21 inches long. The doctor stated I did not tear so I did not get any stitches. I was so happy to see my baby boy enter the world and arrived on his due date. My husband and I are so in love with our little man. We were discharged 30 hours after delivery since there were no complications. My son has extra digits on his hands just like his daddy so we are schedule for a consultation  next week to get them removed.

Thank you! We fell in love with it when my husband looked up names with certain meanings and decided that the name would compliment him. Once he arrived we knew he looked like an Asher.
