First time mother

I always heard first baby goes late.is that true?? Can anybody tell me please. Am 37 weeks 2 days now and dont want to go late at all.

I was convinced my first was going to be early, but I ended up being induced at 41 weeks and  still having a 27 hour labor because I wasn't progressing even with contractions (both natural and with pitocin). It was an easy labor, but baby was very comfortable!

My first 2 were 2 weeks late and had to be induced. I asked the doctor what is the likelihood that this one won't be late and he said women tend to be steady with subsequent births. So I will be late again then.

My first came on his due date. He would have been a week early but I stalled labor being stressed. And my second came a week early.

It's different for everyone (: sadly I'm currently 3 days overdue !! Haha

I was my mom's first and came right on my due date. I'm due Jan 29 with my first, praying he comes on time too. Good luck! :)

No its not true I had my first babyon the day of my due date and it depends on your body if its ready to give birth early or late.

My first was 2 days early. I thank my mom for that. When they took me off work I got super lazy because I was so tired but she would make me go walk our neighborhood. I would take my dog then come home and before I could even get in the door she said ok take this dog now it's not fair. We had 5 dogs at the time and she made me walk all 5 so I got in a good 3 miles or more a day of walking. I'm 36 weeks now with my 2nd and off work but it's been raining bad so no walking as of yet. Due christmas but trying for at least the weekend of the 12th.

My first baby arrived the day before her due date. I am being induced with my 2nd tomorrow and will be 40w6d. So it really just depends on the baby on if they are ready or not.

It varies from person to person, while many ftm go late,  just as many go early.  Your EDD is an estimate,  most women go within 2 weeks before or after that.

My baby was 3 days early...false but a lot of people do go late so that's why you hear it.

My first was a week early and my second 10 days early..and this one is a scheduled c sec for tomorrow at 39weeks...so that is false :) good luck
