Got acid reflux/heart burn? Temporary solution!

I'm in my third trimester now and I have been having uncomfortable acid reflux and heart burn. I found a very quick solution to the pain/discomfort and I want to share! Take a teaspoon of baking soda and mix it well with half cup of water, then down it like a shot and chase it with something that doesn't taste awful. Baking soda tastes disgusting, so try to bypass your tongue as much as possible. The baking soda is a base and your stomach acid is acid, so the pH balances quickly and saves your esophagus from the damage the acid can cause coming up it. You may notice you start having little burps, this is good. It means the acid is neutralizing. The pain and discomfort goes away just about immediately! I can't believe this isn't suggested in the things you can do to alleviate the problem. It's temporary, but I can do this a few times a day if necessary and it saves me instantly. Try it!
