Group Strep B

Just found out I've tested positive for Group Strep B. I was told not to worry that once I'm in labour I'll be medicated through an I.V and that this is very common amongst pregnant women. But now after internet research, I'm worried for the well being of son. Any other women had this/can shed some light on it for me please? Thanks!

I had it. It earned me an IV during labor and an extra night in the hospital to monitor me and my son. We had no problems at all. Listen to your doctors and don't worry. :)

I also have it :/ ive heard that its not that bad but i myself also looked it up online.... as long as you tell them when u get to L&D :) they just need to give u antibiotics... its actualy common in pregnancy. I know how it feels to find out that you yourself have it than hearing about it but like i said as long as you get the antibiotics its fine :) <3

This will be my second preg testing positive. They gave meds in iv so guessing it'd be same with this 1. No issues

I have it too & my dr told me not to worry about it. As long as I get the meds during labor to prevent it from going to my daughter everything should be fine.
