Heartburn????

I'm 19 years old and pregnant with my first baby and never had heartburn a day in my life. But now everytime I eat pizza, chili etc I get get a hurting, burning feeling in my chest and lower throat. Is this heart burn. I know probably sounds like a stupid question but I've never had this before it's hard to explain.

I've had outrageous heartburn with this pregnancy. In the beginning milk would work but after a while it got so bad nothing was working. I was even to the point of throwing up stomach acid my heartburn was so bad. I talked to my ob and she actually prescribed me prilosec because zantac wasn't working with this pregnancy like it did with my previous three. I would try tums, rolaids or milk or other remedies before reverting to prescriptions if you aren't big into taking medication. Hope you find something that works!

Milk and yogurt are both really good for neutralizing the acid. But for anyone that needs something a little stronger, Zantac is a lifesaver.

Other than rolaids and other meds, what home remedies worked for you? Mint tea ?chamomile tea?

I've got severe heartburn most of the time, it really is rubbish but I'll see if he really is hairy.. If so I should be expecting my own little chewbacca!

Yup thats heartburn...i hate it lol it hurts and burns so badly. But they that when you have a lot of heartburn chances are baby is gonna be born with a head full of hair, happened in my first pregnancy and she had a lot of hair, with this pregnancy also so lets see lol

Yes it is! It *****! Buy rolaids it only takes one to knock it out for me they work better than tums in my opinion and they are safe to take wwhile pregnant
