How long did you wait?

How long did you wait to have sex? I've been told the usual "nothing in the vagina for six weeks" I'm just curious how many actually waited the six weeks? I find myself wanting my man and it being hard to keep it together.

So I'm wondering how long do people normally wait? Were you on birth control before you did it? If not how did you prevent pregnancy? I absolutely do not want to get pregnant again. But I really want to love on my man.

My goodness you guys are troopers lol. I gave birth 3 weeks ago and I can't even think about it. I'm so tired, breastfeeding very frequently night & day as well as 2yr old to look after all day... Every spare, quiet minute I get is owed to rest lol

And about getting pregnant my midwive told me your more fertile after youve given birth very fertile because your body is used to you being pregnant so if you dont want to get pregnant you should go on contraception straight away. !

The doctors advise 6weeks to make sure youve healed properly but its true everyones body is different and also so you dont start bleeding alot again. I think everyone knows when there body is ready so id go with that. Im going to with my babys father two weeks after ive stopped bleeding id say cos i dont want no blood clot clumps coming out on him ! lol.

My doctor recommended waiting until your stitches are healed, if you get thwm. Or at least 4 weeks and the bleeding stops. Definitely use protection!. The old wives tale that you can't get pregnant while breastfeeding is a myth. My friend was breastfeeding and got pregnant 2 months later. It's actually pretty common to get pregnant while you breastfeed.

Two weeks seems to be most common amongst everyone really. I know I should probably wait, but I don't think I will be able too. I miss the connection and him. Bleeding will definitely have to be stopped to go there for sure. I am so nervous about getting pregnant again o.O

I didn't wait the six weeks either... And with my second (c-sect), I think we only waited like a week and a half. I agree with the others, just listen to your body.

I waited 2 weeks...pretty much just as long as it took the vag to get itself back together. I was breastfeeding so I guess I wasn't afraid of another pregnancy right away but that is a scary thought. I'd have him wear a condom.

I waited 3 week with my first. I think you know yourself if your able to and how you've healed. Every one recovers from labour differently so trust how you feel.

Eighth my first I waited the day before my six weeks check up and with my second I waited 3 weeks. My midwife said that whenever you feel comfortable to have sex then try it but use lots of lube and if you wanna stop then stop lol. My midwife said most women don't even think about having sex after giving birth :p some of us though can't resist our husband's ha had I know I cant

With both of my other two I waited two weeks and was ok!
I breast feed with my daughter and was on the mini pill.
I would just play it by ear if I were you.  Listen to your body. If it hurts stop!
If you are not on bc I would use a condom.
Good luck
