Is second time easier?

Hello! Im pregnant with my second, but there are those traumatised memories about first delivery. Shortly, my waters broke (not all at once) at 4 am, 35w 5d, went to hospiral with no pain, just leaking water, had antibiotics in my system, and doctors decided that I meed stimulation. So they gave me that syrup or smthg like that and I started to feel something just next day at 7pm.  Contractions were strong at 1am but no dialated, no doctors, no one (there was a complicated delivery meanwhile and only one doc) so it was like a nightmare for me, also they gave me to breath that laughing gase, and I felt even more horrible, and so it last till the pushing phase- 7am, i just fell a sleep everytime between those big contractions. After delivery I just slept on that table for 4 hours (still dont know why I wasnt in my room). So. Is there any chance that second childbirth will be easier?? I need that hope so much, but I rather know the stats and just try to deal with it. Thanks for any experience/advise. :)

I'm on my second pregnancy and I'm also very nervous. I had major complications with my first pregnancy. I was pregnant with twins and lost one baby at 10 weeks pregnant. Then I had a subcoriotic hemorrhage which caused me to be on bed rest for the majority of my pregnancy. I was in constant fear of losing my other baby the whole time. Then on top of that I had four fibroids that caused me severe pain at seven months. I just found out that I'm pregnant and I'm a teacher. Because of the last experience I let my administrative team know. I have just tried to stay positive and calm. I've prayed and I'm telling myself that I will be positive. Not telling my family and friends until I'm out of my first trimester. These forums help me out a lot though so thank you ladies! By the way, my son just turned one on September 2nd.

I'm on my second baby and I am constantly worried, more than the first. Mainly because I keep hearing of people losing their babies, I haven't even announced the pregnancy yet and I'm 4 months.
I'm actually not afraid for the actual labor or delivery part though because I loved my Dr and experience.
My recommendation is possibly trying a new Dr/hospital? Start new so that the feelings that you had from the previous time won't cloud this new babies experience.
Best of Luck!

I am pregnant with my 4th, I had aome complications with each child although every one was differnt, I did all natural vaginal births, and I do think it gets easier, but the fear and pain is still there, and worry. That will never get easier, but I think now that you are more prepared and know what to kinda expect, that is what makes it easier. I have a scary high tolerance for pain though, I can sleep through the contractions up until the point I am almost fully dilated and ready to push. But then again, I have done it 3 times already. Just relax and remember, each child and experience is different, but this one will be easier and differnt, might not even be as long!

I say yes though i am c section.  You are more used to being sleep deprived.  You have a better grasp on what to do and what baby needs.  And i felt like i had a better grasp on my hormones too :)
