Yeah, there's really nothing to prevent them but if you're realizing when they happen, try to take a second to take a few deep breaths to try to calm yourself down. Apologize to your significant other and explain to him what's going on. Just try to stay rational and try not to over react. At least you're realizing your mood swings are a little crazy!
I noticed after the first trimester that things got better, I wasn't as exhausted and felt a lot better physically.
There's really no way to control it. I just let everything roll off my back. When you look back you'll realize what a big deal you made out of nothing. Best of luck mamma!
