update on baby boy Ezra!
Born at 30 weeks and 5 days. I was in labor for 9 hours and that includes pushing for 10 minutes. He is 2 pounds 14 oz and 15 1\2 inches. They are moving his oxygen down a level because he is doing so well! He cannot regulate his own body temperature so they have him under heat so unfortunately we can only touch for a little. He also is very sensitive to touch so we can only let him grab our hands or he gets very upset. Other than that he is absolutely perfect and I am very happy we got this over with! I always had faith that he was ready. He did come out not breathing for about a minute. They thought he wasn't going to survive but then he started crying! My baby boy is a trooper. If he continues doing this good we should be able to take him home at the least in 3 weeks!! I am having trouble sleeping because I can't feel him move anymore :( I miss my little sidekick and I'm in too much pain right now to sleep in nicu next to him. Plus I'm on two different iv antibiotics and pitocin because of the infection. Luckily they caught the very beginning of it and he came fast enough to make it go away within 24 to 48 hours! I will be discharged in three days since I did deliver about 10 weeks early and had the infection in the fluid. I'm fine with 3 days compared to two months!! But we will be staying here to be close to our prince!

He's breathing fully on his own! Doing great eating. Only spit up once. Has had two poops. I got to hold him. However he is jaundice now. He's done with his antibiotics treating him for the infection we got. I've run completely dry breast wise :( so he's getting donor milk. He's doing great :) we got to see him without the mask for a minute so we finally got to see what he looks like. ♡

As far as I know my kidneys and heart should go back to normal once my body is done healing completely. I will make sure to get them both checked out carefully especially my kidneys! My vitals are great. No fever. Blood pressure is normal. Pulse is great. They're still pushing antibiotics and pitocin for the infection. I'll be done with the iv antibiotics very soon!

Congratulations! I'm so happy he is doing good. I can't believe he is so tiny. I'm glad you are doing well also! Are your vitals coming back up to be normal ranges? And do they say your kidneys are going to start recovering?

I had him early bc my water ruptured at 29 weeks and I got the infection in the fluid 5 days later which forced ezra to be born early!
