getting close???

I'm 38 weeks 4 days!  Went to the doctor 2 days ago and I was 3 cm dilated and 75% effaced. I'm supposed to be induced on Tuesday. I had to be induced with my first pregnancy because I was only dilated to a 1 for 4 weeks and wouldn't progress. I'm hoping maybe I can go on my own. I hated being induced. Any tips or tricks to help get this going!!!!!!

I agree with JustJayy, walking and sex. I was only a centimeter at my 39 week appointment and kept up the sex in combination with starting to walk like crazy and my son was born three days later. Mind you, he must've been ready of his own volition, but it sounds like you're almost there.

Yes he is. I'm 38weeks and he is measuring the size of 41 weeks. And his weight is between 9 and 10 lbs. So I'm trying to figure out how to get a little farther on my own so I don't have to be induced.

Is your doctor already worried about the size of this baby?

I'd try sex if I were you since you've already dilated some on your own, semen should help get you a little further and maybe elevate your hips for a while after to give it a chance to soften everything up and then go for a walk

My first was 8lbs 13oz 21 in. And he got stuck he had shoulder dystocia and this baby is already looking to be as big as a 41 week old 9 plus lbs. And he knows I don't want a c section so we are trying to avoid having to do that before baby gets to big for me.

Why doesn't your doctor give you the chance to get to at least 40-41 weeks before inducing?
