Is anyone else having a rough second pregnancy?

My first pregnancy was rough mentally because of life circumstances.... but this second pregnancy has been rough physically (mainly this past month). I will be 27 weeks tomorrow. In the last month I have been diagnosed with abdominal seperation+hernia (which typically isn't awful but mine was inflamed and painful for a good week) and back strain (Right after my stomach pain got better...caused when I had to break a lifting restriction of 10lbs to lift my daughter who is about to be 2 and about 30lbs). A heating pad is all that has helped. I have also had really bad leg cramps that wake me up out of my sleep, acid reflux/heartburn that the ranitide isn't even fixing now, and I have been having really bad cramps the past few days. I do not go back until the 3rd when I am 28+4 and that is for the glucose test. I tried getting in with my Dr. earlier because the E.R. told me with the abdominal separation and pain I needed to see him asap. However, the nurse was rude and hateful and wouldn't move my appointment up. She said, "The E.R. always says that it doesn't mean anything." So I am frustrated with that and everything else going on :/

Oh wow that's a lot to handle. I am really sorry you're going through all that and the nurse needs to show a lot more compassion. I also went through a rough six plus months with this second pregnancy. I'm just now starting to feel better at almost 38 weeks. Drinks lots of water and take it easy. In regards to the hateful nurse, I would call and speak with someone else or just walk in the doctor's office. The nurse cannot treat you as though everyone feels the same symptoms. She can't tell you how to feel or what to do about getting adequate care!!! Even if the ER says that "all the time" that is NOT for her to decide. Your doctor needs to see you.

Stand up for yourself because your first born also needs a healthy happy mommy.

I hope everything works out!

I am glad you are feeling better! I definitely do need to be better about the water. I've started getting a gallon to keep refilling and in the fridge, but I know I have been dehydrated. I'm trying to get better about it. As far as the nurse, I have thought about bringing it up at my next appointment. She really upset me and I do not think she was very ethical. She said more that was not okay but I'm trying to push her out of my mind until I go back. Thank you for your understanding My frustration. Mommy love back to you!

Hi, I feel you I'm pretty much going thru similar stuff... I have ulcer in my stomach and I can't even sleep at night sometimes cause the pain and the acid goes up to my throat.. and the pain I have it everyday, I am also taking medication for that but it isn't helping plus I have a high risk pregnancy cause of my heart record, and also I'm caring baby low so it hurts me to walk and have vaginal pain as well... nauseas and postpartum depression..

I'm 37weeks with my second and it's been the worst pregnancy. Heartburn, acid reflux, morning and night sickness, pelvic pain, swollen feet, sore pains in pelvic area everyday.headaches Can't sleep and if I do I'll wake ten times to go dribble in the loo. I guess it's true no two pregnancies are ever the same!! I sympathise.

They most definitely are not! Which my first born is a girl, and this time it's a boy. Some seem to think that may be why but I'm not sure. I'm sorry you have had many issues this time as well. You are so close though, hang in there! We got through a lot but us mommies have for this :)

Definitely on the same boat. My first pregnancy was tough due to life but this 2nd one is physically so hard and painful. I only have a few more days left. Tg.

Yes mentally this pregnancy has been harder. I don't feel too bad. But this pregnancy I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, now I have low iron and low platelet count. Had pelvic pain in the beginning, which went away, but has now come back at 32 weeks. I wake so many times through the night because my hips hurt. Sending you strength to get through the rest of this pregnancy. It will all be worth it when we hold out beautiful bubs.
