I crave lemons and anything green. Broccoli,  avacodo is a big one! Celery, green beans.

I think it's fine. I crave Mexican food when I'm pregnant. Tacos, burritos, nachos, tequitos, flautas, enchiladas, quesedillas...all sound good.  I'm mashing myself hungry. Anyway, I let myself have it for lunch everyday of the week if necessary. But I make sure to have a healthy breakfast and dinner and watch my portions. Baby 1 came out perfect. Now, I'm doing the same with my second pregnancy.

I am surprised a nutritionist would say to eat "whatever you like but eat healthy on the side...."

I was just in pre natal, birthing, and recovery class today.

They spent an hour going over the food plate....stated we should get 60 to 90 grams of protien each day, ensure we get lots of calcium since baby needs lots of it to grow and when nursing or our body will take it from our bones and teeth....eat your vegies, whole grains/starchy vegies, and last....fruit.

You should have a pre-natal and take extra iron if anemic.

The instructor made a very good point....
Do you see yourself feeding your 1-3 year old Mc Donalds daily, or feeding them whole foods made at home?

While pregnant, do your best to eat whole foods made at home for better nutrition.

Yes! I too have ended up at Mc Donalds 1x to 2x a week, but I do listen to my instructor and try to eat healthy vs. giving into cravings....and I do believe that if I am eating a well balanced healthy whole food diet and eat what I plan to eat that I have less cravings for junky processed crap food that will put excess weight gain on but won't nourish the baby or my body proper.

Ask a second nutritionist and maybe check out reputable government websites on nutrition during pregnancy

I ate supreme fries when I was pregnant with my son for lunch maybe 3 or 4 times a week. He turned out just fine. Just be aware of how your digestive system reacts so you don't get caught in an embarrassing situation without a bathroom haha.
