PLEASE HELP!!! please, please, please

Many children are born with Sickle Cell Disease & because of the parents lack of knowledge, families are blindsided by this.

It is VERY serious & dangerous disease, just like cancer & autism but because they're not many advocates, not many people have heard of it.

My 5yr old son suffers from this disease. He is on monthly blood transfusions & his medication that he takes daily costs well over $1000 /month. From several hospitalizations every year, to the unbearable pain he deals with, he will never live a normal life.

If you have the slightest consideration for mine & other families who suffer from this, please take 2minutes to read  & sign the petition to continue funding. We have less than 3weeks to reach 100,000 signatures so that the White House will take action. It's comoletely free & takes no more than a few mintues in total. Please have a heart!

Go to www.sicklecelldisease.org & follow the petition link. (I couldn't post the link)

@diiddlybop It's a good thing you know that, as most don't & are blindsided during their newborns screening. Thank you!

@3rdndone I completely agree with you about parents educating their children. I had only heard about it once from a family member who severely suffered from it. So when they told me my 1st born would have it, I was clueless.

@rere_19 Yes there's pain, strokes, priapism, hand-foot syndrome, infections, anemia, acute chest syndrome & more.... truly su**s!
