Personal. Shaving!

I was just curious, those that gave birth already. Do you shave down there before labor? Or you just didn't care about it and give birth?

I let my honey shave me.  He does amazing job.  Its so hard to shave on my own because my big ol belly Lol.  So my honey shaves it.  I mean he goes really slow verses me doing it I'll go fast n be done in no time but I can't see so I don't mind him doing it for me. Its a nice bond as well

I've never shaved there. Given birth twice and I didn't care either time. Its too intense to care what nurses and doctors think about that. With my first I had about 9 people in the room because he was a vaginal breech amd they all wanted to see and I still didn't care. I had to be stitched up from an episiotomy but wasn't shaved for that. I wouldn't worry about it.

I shaved, but it's all personal preference. I just felt better having it all neat and clean down there ;)

I haven't ever really shaved there my skin breaks out in a rash down there if I do, super sensitive I guess. I just trim so it's not super long. I had stitches with 2 previous births and they didn't shave me to sew me up. The people in the room aren't going to care weather or not your shaved they see them all day. They aren't going to be grossed out by alittle hair.

I didn't have a ton of people in labor and delivery and I went through 2 shifts of people. I had 1 nurse and 1 doctor monitoring me the night before and then the next day they told me I would be having her and had 2 nurses and a doctor plus my 2 guest choices. With my daughter I got to the point I didn't care and I am sure I will be the same way again this time. Like I said right now I'm doing it because it bothers me.

I took a shower right after my water broke both times and...cleaned up. It made me feel more comfortable. There will be like 15 people looking down there over the course of your labor, delivery, and recovery. If it's something that will bother you, shave. If not, don't.

I only shave when I start itching because of the hairs. I'm to the point I can't reach anymore and I habe days where I say forget it until it starts driving me crazy and I attempt it anyways.

I did, only because it drove me nuts otherwise. I didn't do it all the time, only every week or so once I got to the point that I couldn't really see down there lol. It was hard/annoying to do more than that, but I couldn't stand going longer. I shaved a couple days before I went in to be induced. Trust me though, all modesty goes out the window and you won't even care once you're in labor lol.

I shaved , only because if I tore and had to be stitched up they wouldve shaved me themselves but I was rushed in for an emergency c-section so it didn't really matter I guess.
