I am 35 weeks and haven't produced/ leaked any breast milk, I didn't produce any with my first till a couple days after he was born, just thought I would be producing something by now. When did you start producing/ leaking

Im just readimg the comments to this question and wondering, if you don't produce much or any at all for like a day or so afterwards, do the hospitals have milk on the wards to provide you with? My SIL said that with her second she didnt produce much naturally and the baby was starving but the nurses wudnt let her "top up" so basically the baby cried with what we can only assume was starvation?!

This is my 5th baby. I don't produce anything until after delivery, and even then, it's not much the first day. Give yourself time. I'm glad I'm not leaking now.

A lot of women don't lactate until they have given birth. Supposedly something to do with the uterus contracting sends signals to our breasts to start producing colostrum/milk. I'm almost 38 weeks and have had no sign of any leakage either.  I'm scheduled for induction tomorrow

Try massaging your breast to stimulate the glands and that should bring the colostrum or just youtube hand pumping.
