bad cough

OK I just turned 7 months today an I have had this really bad cough for almost a month. It ***** cause I have tried everything my Dr said I can take. Its getting so bad that I through up now. Has this happened to anyone else an what did u do if it did. I'm so miserable cause I can't shake this cough... somebody anybody help me please

So the meds that I got from the er last week didn't help. I ended up goin back to the er an this time they say I have asthma. So now I'm hoping that the meds they give me this time works. I'm so over this cough, I don't sleep at night anymore. An when I do I have to sit up cause ur relives some of the coughing. I just can't deal anymore

I've had a bad cough for two months..did antibiotics and allergy meds..nothing works..its horrible!

So I went to the ER for my cough an they said it was a real bad infection. So they gave me some antibiotics to help me. So I'm hoping that this helps me

OK thanks lady's. Yes it hurts so bad. I don't even won't to eat cause of it
But I no I have to. Guess I'll b making an early appointment to c my Dr.

My dr gave me an inhaler i take up to 4 times a day and it makes a difference

I have tried all those that you suggested and none of them has helped. It was so frustrating. I wouldnt leave my house in hear of just throwing up somewhere. Its not something you can feel coming on either. You cough, turns into a coughing fit and a spasm and then bam you're running into the bathroom cuz you cant stop and you're afraid its gonna happen and then it does.

You might need one specific to your cough as different antibiotics treat different things. Just sounds like an infection to me after that amount of time.  Some natural thinks to try are hot tea with lemon and honey,  hot steam or a cool mist humidifier. But I'd get back in to see the doctor mama.

I actually had the exact same thing. Two weeks straight I was coughing so much and so hard I was throwing up 3+ times a day.  (Never had morning sickness once, only times I've vomited) drs office said I could take robitussin. Took that every 4 hrs for a week. Still NOTHING. Went to my pcp. Turned out I had bronchitis & bronchospasms. She gave me an inhaler and cough medicine with codine and a week off work. Finally my cough has calmed down to just a cough. Feels good not be uncontrollably coughing my face off and being able to breathe again.

Yea I to take them about 2 weeks ago cause i got a tooth pulled

Have they tried antibiotics?  If it's not going away I'd say it's a bacterial infection like bronchitis.
