Ask your Dr. For safe bc while breastfeeding. You can't just get on any bc.
Anything with estrogen will cause your milk supply to diminish however progesterone will not have an effect on you supply...so your options are:
-any type of birth control that does not have hormones
-the mini pill (like the regular pill but does not contain estrogen); con: must be taken every day at the same time or accidents can happen
-depo provera (the shot); each shot is good for 12 weeks, con: in some cases infertility can last over a year from last shot and long term use is know to cause osteoporosis
-iud's like mirena; can be left in for 3-5 years depending on brand but can be removed sooner, con: ???
-implants like implanon; rod inserted under skin usually in upper arm good for 3 years but can be removed sooner, con: less effective if overweight
Yes you can take birth control. They recommend it if you are worried about getting pregnant again so soon and don't want to use condoms.
Whats that thing they put in u its like a T.. is that safe for breastfeeding? I dont see why it wouldnt be and i definitely dont wanna get pregnant again anytime soon lol!
I think u can only take the mini pill as its safe when breastfeeding. Only thing with the mini pill is that you have to take it at the same time everyday - so not good if you're forgetful lol! Also generally they say there's a high chance of falling pregnant again soon once you've had a baby so need to make sure the right contraception is in place.
I'm pretty sure you can. I will going to the mini pill. Before I had the IUD.
