I have implants under the muscle incision in the fold and I have heard that cutting in the nipple can sever nerves and damage the nipple. Not the case for everyone. I would talk to your ob or a plastic surgeon to see if there is a way to tell before baby is born.
My plastic surgeon said I shouldn't have a problem before doing the surgery but I just got curious. Will I leak milk or do I wait til the baby gets here?
The vast majority of women with implants nurse just fine. Doctors are pretty aware when performing the procedure that a woman may want to breast feed and they tend to be careful. So, there is a very high, super good chance you will have no issues.
Milk usually comes in after you have the baby.
Do chest lift exercises to help keep your form after you have the baby. Keep those chest muscles strong. good luck
I wouldn't stress it too much. I nursed just fine for 8 months. I had only had surgery less than 2 years before my baby was born. The fact that they are under the muscle helps too. Also, it sounds like your surgeon took care of you so if you still have sensation and your nipple gets hard I would bet you will nurse just fine.
