You should be ok. Coming from personal experience, without papers establishing custody filed with your court system where you live then the custodial parent is the one who had the baby at the time. I would just be careful about letting him have the baby away from you until then. Also, document EVERYTHING. That will be your so helpful when you file for custody. And within the first year of the babies life you do not have to let him take the baby for visitations outside of your home. Just make sure that you are doing everything you can to provide an environment that is best for baby and you should be fine. Good luck honey.
Girl, go ahead and leave. He's just talking, trying to scare you.
Thank you ladies! It's scary to even think about my baby being taken away from me :(
Don't sweat it. Its just empty threats
You'd have to be "unfit" as a mother for them to take your baby. If you were on drugs, abusive, mentally unstable or a danger to ur baby's life in anyway they could give him custody. Otherwise its pretty safe to say momma has more rights :) Good luck
They are not going to choose him over you.
Only way they can take the baby is if they have enough proof ur a "bad mom " without proof they can do nothing my friend is goin thru the same thing her man in or was in military and his ex is currently has custody n hes tryin to win everything but proof n time is key ..i wouldnt worry to much hun
And he goes on field ops at least once every two months sometimes for 6 weeks. And he's got physical abuse charges on him in his paperwork with the military.
No not just off of those two things. The courts usually don't take a child from their mother unless they are unable unfit or hard drugs. So he would have to give an actual reason for him to take the baby from yu. Not just because he makes money.
If you have nothing against you they won't give him full custody because he is in the military. Also they normally side with the mom.
