first baby when is announcing pregnancy ok??

This is my first pregnancy and I'm really excited I have a friend who is pregnant with 2nd child and already announced her pregnancy...I'm new too this and I'll be 12 weeks this Saturday even though at my last appointment my doctor said baby seems healthy and I heard the heartbeat for the first time I was wondering should I still wait til the miscarriage clear zone or am I'm over reacting and should just go ahead and announce it the few people that know I'm ready for me too spill the beans but I kind of still want to wait.......

Only tell people you would tell if you had a miscarriage anyways. I never managed to keep the secret longer than 12 weeks though! You're almost in the clear:-P

Thanks ladies I think I'm going to wait a little longer too right now our parents and only a few friends know I'm going to keep it like that til my 2nd trimester

I always recommend announcing it after you're past the first trimester, I did it with my second child and with my first I only told my close family about him.

I told only a few people early on like both sets of grandparents and a few people where I work...  Other then that I waited until the 12 week mark :)

I would wait. I announced and then had a miscarriage its best to wait becausr its hard on you to explain to people if something happens

Lol oh wow that's funny yeah the first people we told was our parents too their pretty much cool about it for the most part especially my mom I think she is overly excited

Oh for sure. The only person we waited to tell was my mans mom, she always talked bad about it when we talked about it. Her reply was "are you fkn kidding me?!" ha. Now she has an app and keeps up with the baby lol.

Do whatever you feel comfortable with sweets! Some wait, some dont. We didnt. After our fifth positive, we spilled same day. We couldnt wait.
