Look dieting is different than making healthy choices. Speak with your doctor about how many calories you should consume and then eat HEALTHY filling foods. Even if you lose weight it is ok. I started this preg at 119 and I have been so hungry I am only 25 weeks and have gained 26 pounds. I was not making healthy choices. So I got a lot of healthy snacks and I eat around 2000 calories a day, more if I am hungry. I lost 4 pounds but I am feeling better and baby is still healthy kicking up a storm! Doing a crash diet or reducing your calories and not eating when your hungry is frowned apon. However, it would probably be best that you changed your habits if they are bad. If you are overweight you will still have necessary fats needed for your pregnancy even if you did lose some weight.

Im terrified of my weight too.. i went to my appt last week and gained 7 lbs in one month.. 8 lbs overall but 7 in one month is horrible!  I downloaded a calorie counter app.. im eating 1700 a day (bc of the extra needed in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters). Its kinda fun to keep track of.

Yes you can exercise while pregnant. I do. I don't know about dieting but changing your eating habits can go a long way. Most people think they're eating for two while pregnant and that's not true. You're only suppose to eat an additional 300 calories.

Dieting is frowned upon but exercise is usually ok unless you have other medical problems.  Just watch what you eat & go for walks or go swimming.  Both are great during pregnancy.
