getting tooth pulled

Does anyone know how safe it is to get your tooth pulled. I'm 17 weeks exact and I've heard it's best to get done in the 2nd trimester if it needs to be done. But this is an emergency, my toothache is so bad I didn't really sleep and its giving me a headache and ear ache. I even got up with a slightly swollen jaw, so I have to make an emergency appointment and get it out when the dentist opens. I just don't want to harm the baby with the anesthesia.

I had the same pain it was an absessed tooth they gave me antibiotics and it made it so much better I didn't get it pulled because you have to do it without pain medicine . I'm all better and still have my tooth:)

I just had it pulled out. Trust me I am so relieved the pain is gone! The baby was moving all day before the procedure and after so it was a good feeling knowing that nothing had changed with baby. I only had two shots and it went by painlessly and quickly. Thanks ladies

Hiya I had a wisdom tooth pulled under general anaesthetic (not asleep but I was super numb and didn't feel a thing) when I was 18 weeks with my first child. She is now 4yo. So its all good xx

My OB also said no ansthesia, only local. I had my tooth pulled in the second trimester due to infection. I was also put on antibiotics after. Ill be 33 weeks tomorrow and I'm SO GLAD I had that thing pulled!

My ob said local ( numbing shots n mouth) only. No anesthesia or narco pain meds after.  Just Tylenol and antibiotics for possible infection afterwards. Good luck,
