What are the pros and cons about ******* oil ? And what else can I do to help my baby come my due date was yesterday and his head is not in the canal yet ...did a lot of walking but seems not to work !!

Castor oil will make you seriously sick which can cause issues for your baby if you are not careful. There are really no trick to starting labor other than whenever baby is ready. The rest are pretty much old wives tales. If he's not in position yet, might as well take a nap and get so.e rest while you can.

I boiled cummin seeds (seasoning isle) with a tea bag and I was dilated the next day. That and sex. Good luck. I googled those

The only pro about castor oil is that it can stimulate your bowels which can lead to cramping which can irritate your uterus enough to potentially push you into labor, but that's very rare. It can make you horribly sick with very bad cramping. And if it does send you into labor it increases the risk of baby pooping in the womb which can be dangerous. I'd they swallow the poop that can land them in the nicu for a little bit.


For that very very slight chance it works you need to have started dilating and be partially effaced already.and most drs don't recommend it any time before 40 weeks.

Its your personal choice to take it, but once I had learned the risks of it I figured it wasn't so bad waiting for baby to come.
