As long as you in a well ventalated area and you give it a 6 week gap in between dying sessions.
I'm 31 weeks and I bleached my hair not very long ago... I was worried about dying color on top of it with my hormones since it can go completely wrong and not absorb the color right, so I just stuck with a toner instead of an outright dye on top.
I am planning on getting my hair colored this weekend am getting darker on the roots and lighter on the bottom which means I have to bleach the bottom. I was told as long as the place is well ventilated it is fine.
You can colour and bleach your hair. It's fine. Just make sure it's done in a well ventilated area. The chemicals aren't nearly as harsh as they used to be, plus you don't put bleach right on the scalp. Just do a patch test first like the above poster stated.
I'm 32 weeks and bleach my hair and dye it. Just do a patch test a day before as skin can be more sensetive in pregnancy but it cannot harm baby
Oh and sometimes hormones make the way your hair reacts to the chemicals bad. Like the hair dye might end up a different color.
I don't think it's such a big deal, it's not like you are doing this constantly. You should just have someone help you and stay in a ventilated area.
Doctors don't say not to color or bleach.. They say to wait after the first trimester then if you are going to color/bleach do it in a well ventilated area. I would also put a mask over your mouth and nose so you're not breathing in all the gross fumes. I personally wouldn't do it during my pregnancy but that's just me.
Drs say you should not color or bleach your hair at all during pregnancy
While there's no proof that the chemicals in hair bleach -- like peroxide or ammonia -- cause birth defects, miscarriages, or any other complications, there are also no reliable studies that prove that bleaching your body hair is totally safe. Since it's likely that these chemicals will be absorbed through the skin and can reach your baby, it's best to avoid using them -- especially in the first trimester, when much of your baby's crucial development is taking place. If you decide to bleach after that, leave the products on your skin for as short a time as possible and keep the room well-ventilated.
