Anyone work 12 hour shifts?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone works 12 hour shifts and how you handled it during your pregnancy. I work 12 hour shifts now and I'm almost 8 weeks pregnant and I just feel so exhausted and my job requires standing.

I'm a labor nurse and work 12 hour night shifts. I'm one of 4 pregnant nurses on our unit. Im 24 weeks. The best advice I can give is stay hydrated, get as much sleep as possible, wear compression socks and be aware of the amount of bending over and lifting you are doing. Oh and make your significant other rub your feet and back a lot!

Yea 12-14 weeks,  ONLY lose the energy again later on in pregnancy as baby grows.  Yes then pain comes along.

Wow...I'm sorry you have to work so long. I work a minimum of 9 hrs and I'm 8 weeks also. I'm exhausted too! After four hours I just want to fall asleep or sit down. lol but yeah...my job requires standing and a lot of moving.. My GM keeps telling me it's all in my head... Its not. But I heard pregnant women pick up energy after about 12-14 weeks so I'm just waitin it out..
