There is no such thing as luck.. but there is Faith... and sometimes things aren't ment to be... there are worse things than a miscarriage.. so don't worry about it mama..

I'm 31 weeks and just now needing to buy maternity clothes or bigger clothes.  I bought some jeans (3) and some large t- shirts and sweaters. Only two maternity tops. I don't have much longer to go and don't want to spend much. Only one pair of pants are maternity. The others are elastic waist stretch jeans from old navy. I plan to pass them on to family members once I have the baby. Maxi dresses saved me this summer.

At the mo I've just changed the style of waist for my jeans and trousers. Low slung have now become high waisted as it suits my figure ; perky bum but small waist! It all depends on your figure and your pregnancy I guess... and not to mention the cursed unavoidable weight gain!! Lucky or unlucky I think it all depends how your body deals with your pregnancy to whether you buy maternity clothes early on or later!

I started buying maternity shirts in my 1st trimester just for the comfort factor, but didn't get my 1st maternity jeans until maybe 16 weeks when m regular jeans no longer felt comfortable on my tummy.

I started buying clothes when I hit about 15/16 weeks. That's when my baby bump started showing. And even then I didn't really get bigger until about 20 weeks. And I just bought regular clothes, just bigger than what I normally wear. Maxi dresses were.a definite must for me. Actual maternity clothes are expensive. Ross and forever 21 were my go to shops. But don't buy too many things at one time. The third trimester is when baby grows really fast, so you'll need to buy things here and there as you go along

It makes sense to purchase them when you actually need them. Start putting money away each werk for items before hand :)

Yeah, maybe in the 1st trimester its bad luck coz still have higher chance of miscarriage. So buy maternity dresses in the 2nd trimester, also this is the time that usually the belly grows fast.
