slow labour?

Hi guys today I have noticed lower backpqin coming and going not very painful just 'windy' a bit crampy and unfortable.  So tonight for around 2 hours I have noticed it's back again except it seems to be more constant than coming and going although it is a bit coming and going at times and it spreads round to my kidney area. I decided to run a bath to see if it would ease and as I stood up to get sorted I noticed it is now at my front in my stomach but eased a lot when I got in bath.  I am 38 weeks today although I am sure they got my due date wrong by 6 days and I am measuring a week ahead also. My cervix is very short and big! Can fit two fingers in it is very soft. Sorry I know it is a veeeeery long post I was just wondering what you all think? And has anybody experienced this before going into proper labour?? Thanks guys :)

That's normal, They will come and go. Once you're water breaks that's when they will stay %100 on track, right now our bodies are just slowly progressing until our water breaks then it's active labor.

I'm going through the same thing right now, 38weeks tomorrow and I'm 2cm dilated and %60 effaced so I would say yes it's a slow labor! My contractions just got stronger this week, last week they didn't bother me this week there annoying and my joints feel like there rusted abd hard too move. Very uncomfortable, plus I have pinched nerves on each side of my hips so sleeping is impossible now. It feels like I'm laying with a speer through my legs. I can't wait for this little man to make his way out lol

Also I got up half asleep last night for the toilet and when I sat down I heard a plop! It could of been my plug but as I went to turn the bathroom light on the bulb blew up so I will never know if it was!!
