My doctor gave me a converter and it looks just like the one MiszRebecxa posted. From the time of your lmp to week 40 is 9.5 months which would put you in your 10th month when you give birth. Pregnancy is 280 days/40 weeks it doesn't matter what you use to get there it will still be 40 weeks. I use the lunar method it is easier go keep track of. You can use what ever you are comfortable with.
Baby2see is a horrible reference point most of its information is old and incorrect.

Of course this makes sense...go look at a calender. Lots of months have MORE than 4 weeks in them....4weeks and 3 days etc. If there are 52 wks in a year then we will have 13 months but we dont...we have 12. So to compensate for the fact that there are mths with more than 4x7=28 days some months are actually longer..hence some pregnancy months are longer. Hence the original post is correct. If you think you are pregnant for 10 mths do the maths guys. The poster has the accepted method used worldwide to calculate how many months you are pregnant. No one is pregnantfor 10 mths unless you are seriously overdue.

(1) 1-4
(2) 4-8
(3) 8-12
(4) 12-16
(5) 16-20
(6) 20-24
(7) 24-28
(8) 28-32
(9) 32-36
(10) 36-40

My midwife told me it was this? I lived my whole pregnancy by this rule!(: it's weird that webMD goes from 1-4,4-8 having both 4s but missing out both 8s and then going up a number?

That doesnt make sense..according to that some of the months have 5 weeks in it..no month of the year has 5 weeks in it so thats totally wrong

It's really confusing, that's why I just say how many wks I am, never how many months cause everyone has their own conception of time

Yes. You will be in the beginning of your 7 month. So I   was told to think of it like  your bday. You will have completed 6 months and be in your 7 so you say you are 6 months plus however many wks. Like for your bday, in your 5th   year of life, you only say you are 4 b.c that's all you have completed and at the end of your yr you will turn 5, it's the same way with pregnancy.

If you are confused ask your doctor the will lay it out there for you

Finally someone posts this up so many women have it in there minds we are pregnant for 9 months but months always have more than 4 weeks so you can't just not count those days just hanging and if you go from your last period to the day you are due it is only 9 months not 10

Not necessarily I just work it out as 4 weeks per month. So 40 weeks would equal 10 months. Both ways are correct, I guess you just choose whatever makes most sense to you :)
