what do they do at your first appointment?
I'm about six weeks along. What do they do at your first appointment? Please explain!
for me, my first appt was with my midwife. i had a similar experience as Lanny_Licorice. discussed everything from height, weight, family history, my feelings, my diet etc. had my blood pressure taken, urine tested, heartbeat listened to and made appts for ultrasounds and blood tests and that was it. harmless and helpful, dw! :)
Oh and drew blood, forgot to put that In there.
What they did for me was, checked my height, weight, blood pressure. Took a pee test to check for UTI's etc. They asked tons of questions about family history and such. Had a Pelvic Exam done and listened to the heartbeat. They'll also prescribe you Prenatal Pills If your not on It already.
they will schedual an ultra sound listen to the babys heart beat see how much you way and everything
