abs hurt

It feels like cramps but it doesn't hurt as much. It's on my abdomen area. I'm 5weeks this is mine and my fiancés first baby. And I'm kind of freaking out because we've been trying to get pregnant for over 4months and this time we think we finally did. I should of started this months period last week.  And I don't really want to get our hopes up. I'm just wondering if these minor cramps is a way of my body telling me that im not pregnant.  Please let me know if I should be worried or not. Thank you

I've scheduled an appointment for Tuesday. I haven't had any spotting. The minor cramps seem to go away when I lay down.

I am 8 wks pregnant, have you seen a doctor for blood work? I cramp slightly ( not as intense as menstrual cramps) on and off. My ob says as long as there is no bleeding or spotting, in early pregnancy cramps are normal due to the uterus increasing size to hold pregnancy.
