Only 3 more weeks to go. He may come a little early and he may come a little late. All pregnancies are different.
I'm so glad to hear you have the support that you do. That's wonderful! Believe me, you will need your family and friends once the baby gets here. If people want to help, let them. Especially when you and the baby first come home from the hospital. You will need rest. What I did when my daughter born was to take naps during the day with her. If I had not taken those naps I would have never been able to make it through the day because she was a night baby. Meaning she loved to stay up most of the night.
I take it you live in England? I say that because you call your mom, mum. And, you called the baby bed a cot. I have a very dear friend who lives in England so I know they use different terms for things than we do here in the states.
Try to hang in there your last few weeks. Hopefully the time will fly. I highly recommend you walk as much as possible because it can make your labor easier and faster. My Mom and I walked every single evening a couple of months before my daughter was born and I had a very short labor, only 5 1/2 hours.
Oh, another thing I would recommend getting for the baby is a swing. Most babies love them and they're great for calming babies down when they're crying.
I love the name you chose. Have you picked out his middle name yet?

Hello. Thought I'd let you know how I'm going. I'm now 36 weeks and 4 days. :) going fantastic. I had my antenatal appointment yesterday, and the Dr. Said my boy is Down Low Ready To Go. :) agh I'm so excited. I guess I just have to wait, to go into labour any day now. Anyways. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you. And yeah I know how much hard work its going to be. But I have all my family supporting me and offering to help in any way they can. I've got almost everything I need for my boy, Hunter. My partners mum has given us a really nice cane bassinett, a cot that changes into a toddler bed, and a change table. I have a few newborn outfits and jumpsuits, and heaps of clothes that vary in sizes. When I was in hospital, I got some 3D photos of Hunter, they are so cute. He was smiling. :) anyways, we are doing great now, Iam feeling the best i ever have. I had an antenatal appointment yesterday, and he's heart rate is perfect. Only 10 more weeks to go. I will keep you updated every couple days :). Thank you once again for all your help! And all your advice, means so much that I know someone is out there to listen to me ramble on with my excitement. :)

Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry to hear you were that sick. Thank goodness you and the baby are alright now. That must have been such a scary time for you and your family.
March will be here before you know it. Believe me, once the baby gets here at times you may want to put him back where he was. Ha ha! Babies are wonderful and beautiful but they do require all of your time. That means very little sleep for you, constant changing diapers, making bottles, baths, changing clothes. It's the hardest job you will ever have.
I was a teen mother and also married with our own home when our daughter was born. I found myself calling my mom all of the time asking questions or just venting. It was so hard!
You have to have so much patience and hopefully your boyfriend and family members will be there to help at times.
I'm so glad you and the baby are alright and doing well.
I'm always here to listen and help anyway I can.

Hey how are you ? I'm doing good. Had a bit of a rough journey a couple weeks ago, but I'm okay now. I had a few infections, and caught pneumonia.. I was put on life support for 3 days and had to stay in hospital for a total of 8 days. But both myself and my little man are doing great. I'm 29 weeks now.. just want march to hurry up ! Haha I want my little man here already. I shall keep you updated as much as I can.

That's so nice that your family and your boyfriends family are both helping get things for the baby. I forgot to mention a baby swing. Most babies love them and it will be your best friend, if the baby does like it. I remember when my daughter was a baby and I could do nothing to calm her I would put her in her swing and she was happy and usually went to sleep.
Have you thought about nursing your baby? It's so much healthier, convenient, and honestly, cheaper. The hospital you will be having your baby at should offer classes for expectant mothers to teach them about breast feeding.
You're very welcome. I was a young mother myself and if it weren't for my mom teaching me things I don't know what I would have done. My husband was a great father but most of the babies care usually falls on the mother. Your boyfriend will learn so much. I bet he'll be able to change a diaper in no time. Ha ha!
Take care Sweety and do keep me up to date, okay.

Thank you. And i haven't been buying too much stuff yet. I got a few blanket wrap things and a couple clothes, as well as a bottle water thing given to me. My partners mum is buying us a cot, and my grandmother is going to buy a bassinet and a change table. I think I might be having a big baby, because of how big I already am, so I will buy bigger clothes as well. I've got a few things to get, more clothes, and that sore of stuff. I'm excited as, I can't wait. I just want march to hurry up. I wanna hold my bit already. :)
Thank you for all the advice, and I shall let you know if I have any questions, or need help, and I will also keep you informed with how I'm doing!

Awe! That's great.
I would recommend not buying too many newborn things because your baby is going to grow very fast. Check out retail shops because you can get baby things at a very reduced price that are either new or practically new. Also, check out the clearance section in stores. Sometimes you can get things up to 90% off. I would recommend giving cloth diapers a try. The good ones can cost a lot but it's so worth it in the long run with how much money you'll save. When you take your baby out you can use disposable diapers. Disposable ones can cost well over 100 dollars a month. Check out the baby resale shops for the good cloth diapers.
Let me know how I can help and what advice I can give you, okay. I'm always here to help anyway I can.

It sounds like everything is going well. Letting both sets of parents know must be a relief. You're very young so you'll need their support. They've been parents themselves so they can teach you what you need to know to take care of your own baby.

You must be so relieved now that your mom knows.
I take it your boyfriend will be with you when you let his mom know?

I told my mum yesterday. I think she was angry at first. But she is excited now. And I've got a really cool idea for my partners mum. When I get my ultrasound photos next week, I'm going to buy a photo frame and but a pink or blue(depends what I'm having) ribbon on it. Then I will have to AIT down and have a talk with her. But thank you again anyway. I will keep you up to date with everything.

Maybe it would be a good idea for you and your boyfriend to talk to both sets of parents together. If they know you have plans and your boyfriend is there and will be taking care of you and the baby it will make them feel better about your pregnancy. It won't be easy and I know you must be very scared but you're going to start showing soon and they will figure it out. I think it would be worse for them to catch you off guard by asking questions before you're completely prepared to tell them.
You're very welcome. I'm here most everyday so I'll be checking your posts to see how you're doing.

Yes, I am seeing a doctor. I've had a few antenatal appointments, and the gp Is keeping an eye on me.
Yeah I'm 18 weeks and 4 days today. There is only a handful of people that know, (my partner(baby's dad), my sister in law(and she has not long had a baby herself), my brother in law and second eldest brother.) I'm too scared to tell my mum, and same as my partner. He hasn't told his mum yet either. I just don't want to upset my mum because of my age. Yes, my baby daddy is in the picture. He is helping a lot and is just as excited for this baby as I am. Thankyou so much for all your help. Knowing i have someone else there makws everything a whole lot more easier. :) means alot.

I'm so glad to hear you're continuing your education. It's so important.
The parenting classes will help you so much. I hope you can go as often as possible. Many things will come naturally to you when you have you baby but it can be a little scary at first knowing certain things like bathing, dressing and calming your baby.
It's best to eat throughout the day. When you want something sweet have a piece of fruit. It has natural sugar, it's much more healthy and it will get your blood sugar back up to where it's supposed to be.
Are you seeing a Dr yet? I'm asking before you're pretty far along and no one knows you're pregnant yet? It's very important to be under a Drs care so they can monitor you and the baby.
I know it can be hard to tell your parents. The best thing to do is have a plan in mind. Sit your mom down to talk to her. Tell her you're pregnant and have a plan as far as your education and a future career. You're young so you're going to need her support.
Is the father in the picture and helping you? I really hope he is because it's so hard to take of yourself and a baby on all on your own.
I'm always here to listen and help anyway I can so if you have questions or need someone to talk to just let me know, okay.

Thank you.
I dropped out of school when I started year 10, almost three years ago. (I was going through a rough time at home.)
But I'm working on getting my year 10 certificate. And I'm busy studying cert 3 in childcare at the moment. Yes I have found some parenting classes and will be attendingthem as soon as iI can, although they are about a 45 minute drive away from where I live(they are the closest I can find.) I have been eating healthy. As much as I can. I get low blood sugar tho, so I some times have to have something sweet. And I walk every where I can. I don't have a pervisional license yet and I don't live with anyone that does. Thank you so much for your help. Sorry it took so long to reply. Oh and one more question.. how can I tell people that I'm pregnant ? Like I'm scared they will get angry. Especially my mother..

Thankyou once again! :)

I hope your pregnancy is going well.
First off I would like to recommend that you get your education. It's so very important to have that so you can get a good job to be able to take care of yourself and your baby.
If you can find parenting classes that would be great. They can teach you how to take care of your baby. Most of it comes naturally but going to those classes can really help.
Eat as healthy as you can. No junk food, lots of fruit and vegetables. Make sure you're taking a good prenatal vitamin. Get exercise. Walking is great exercise and can really help with your labor and delivery.
We're always here to help any way we can.
