Are you still a walking Zombie with Twins at 3 months old?

Hi ladies. I have been asked by a girlfriend of mine to be a bridesmaid at her wedding in October. I would love to, but Im just trying to work out if its possible.

My twins are due in August via c-section, and her wedding is 12 weeks after that. I plan on breastfeeding them too, and was also wondering if anyone can remember what their tummies still looked like at 3 months? I have a feeling that I should say no- I dont think I would be comfortable getting up infront of so many people if I still have most of my baby weight or is it possible to lose it by then? The other thing I'm thinking is, will I still look like a walking zombie from feeding through the night?

Hi girls, thanks for your comments. I have talked to my girlfriend and had to pull out, as much as I would like to do it. I would rather pull out now than last minute. She was happy to keep me as a bridesmaid that just didn't have to be part of the bridal party on the day. This way I can still help her do all the things she needs me for. I went and helped her pick out her wedding dress last week, she looked so beautiful I cried! Im hopeless! Blamed it on the pregnancy hormones ofcourse!
Fom what I have heard from everyone, its just going to be to hard breastfeeding two babies and being a bridesmaid. Its such an exhusting day even after a goodnight sleep, let alone in Zombie mode. I was never great at pumping milk with my son, I just seemed to sit there for hours for such a small amount of milk, I gave up. I went on to breastfeed my son until he was 18 months though. Thinking for twins maybe I need an electric pump, not a manual.
Im sure you looked beautiful Pookie as a bridesmaid carrying twins! Would love to see some photo's. Tbeards; I can only pray that I will drop my pregnancy weight as fast as you! I havn't weighed myself for months, the batteries died on my scales (or maybe my scales died of shock!) Last I knew, I had put on 10kgs (is that over 20Ibs?) so dont want to know! I keep forgetting to buy new batteries for a reason Im sure. I havn't taken any photo's of myself pregnant, is that bad?

I don't know what it'll be like once the twins are born, but I know when my daughter was three months it would have been really tough to do a wedding, because of the breastfeeding.  If you are really good at pumping on the go, then totally do it, or if you can bring babies along...maybe.  I just know, with my daughter, that she didn't take a bottle well and I would get SO engorged even with pumping!  I just can't imagine making it through a wedding without leaking all over my dress!  On the other hand, my good friend works full-time and pumps full-time, and she can leave with no problem.  So I say that if you can make it work with the pumping then you should totally go!  But, like I said I don't know about the twin aspect of it yet!  :)

My g/g twins are 13 weeks, corrected age of 7 weeks and I am totally a walking zombie and I am formula feeding!!! You b'feeding twin mamas are heroes in my eyes! I made it for 6 weeks but then began bottle feeding due to low milk supply and no sleep. What was weird is that my milk supply was awesome after they were born and in the NICU but dropped significantly once I brought them home. I am convinced it was the lack of sleep as I didn't change my diet or water intake.

I think it depends on how much weight you gain during pregnancy. I gained about 27 by 33.5 weeks when I had them and within two weeks I was within 5 pounds of my pre-pregnancy weight. If you are anything like me, the b'feeding will make you drop weight like crazy. Also, what I have found out is that people will think you look awesome after having twins. They are so amazed that you carried two babies that no matter what weight you are after, they will think you look great! So I say, if you feel comfortable, go for it!

I am also due in August, and I was just a bridesmaid in my brothers wedding and  had also debated whether or not to do it - with big belly and all.  I did have to sit down for about 5 min during the ceremony because I got dizzy!!!! , but I am glad I was part of their day.

Go for it!  You will be ready for some outside world excitement by then!  I was at my thinnest two weeks after the babies were born because I did not have time to eat!  HA!  By the way, not a good plan if you are going to nurse...I figured that out the hard way...eat and drink!!!
I am a wedding planner so I can assure that if for some reason you had to drop out at the last minute, it would be fine.  Adjustments can be made.
Don't not do it because of all of the "what ifs."

You'll probably still be a zoombie, but the excitement of a wedding would be enough to give you an boost of energy. If the wedding is local, I'd say go for it, assuming you have someone you trust to watch the babies.  You'll be due for a nice night out by then!  I wouldn't worry about the baby weight---everyone will be simply amazed at the fact that you are even there to begin!  You'll have that new twin mom glow and pictures to show off.  They'll all be telling you you look fabulous and how beautiful your babies are!!
If it's something you have to travel to, I'd say to decline. Also, I would not recommend that you take babies with you.  Too many people would be tempted to touch them and they'll still be young an you don't want them to get sick.  As a mom of preemies, I get paranoid about that stuff--sorry :)

By the time my twins were three months old they were on a pretty good schedule and were only feeding once a night. I actually don't think I was as tired then as I am now. I think I was still on some kind of high and so excited about my babies that I never really felt tired or overwhelmed.  It seems like three months was a great age where they were old enough to interact with you, but still young enough that they nap 2-3 times a day, and I always made it a point to nap when they did. As far as the baby weight, I was small when I got pregnant with them, and since I only carried them to about 32 weeks, I really didn't gain any more weight than you  would gain in a singleton pregnancy. Therefore, by three months, the majority of it was gone. So, I can't really answer that one for you.
