My twins are here! <3

The babies are here!!  I tried to give a few updates but it's been so hectic. (sorry)  I'll post the complete birth story soon. They were born at 30 weeks (7/8/09) and weighed 3 pounds each.  So they were very premature, but are generally doing well.  The one with the echogenic bowel had to have surgery at 5 days old.  Turned out her bowel had a twist in it so the meconium couldn't pass through.  They cut out a small piece of her bowel and put in a temporary drainage bag (stoma bag) and will go back in for surgery (in 4-6 weeks) to reconnect her bowel to her colon.  By then everything should be able to work fine (her tummy.) It's pretty scary having surgery done on a 2.5 pound baby but she's expected to make a full recovery and should be home in 6 weeks or so.  I've posted pics on my profile.
