loss of one twin

My cousin is 21 weeks pregnant with fraternal twin girls.  On Friday she found out that she lost one baby.  Ther was no specialist on duty at the hospital so she was sent home. SHe still hasn't been contacted for a follow-up.  What will happen to her and her healthy baby?  Has anyone heard of a situation like this, losing one twin in mid-pregnancy?

I'm not that knowledgeable on the matter but I did see on a medical show where this has happened. If the twins are in the same sac (when its fraternal/maternal I don't know if they are/are not) they will have her delivery both when its time to. Meaning she would have to carry both up until her due date.
So sorry for your family's loss.
