26 weeks and up!

Hello my beautiful ladies!
Here we are, almost done with our second trimester! WOHO!!
I will be exactly 28 weeks TOMORROW !!
Maria and Zuz will be there on Wednesday, and as for Eternidad, few more days.. ;)
Everyone else, welcome again and let's continue with our journey!!

Maria - WOW, that's awesome that you have so many u/s !!!! I believe I am done with mine so I won't know how big my baby is...I just go by what is average at 29 weeks, which is 2.5 pounds they say..I can't wait to be pass 32 weeks already :) These last 11 weeks are SOOOO LONG!! I have troubles sleeping, peeing a lot and often, eating stangly (my food is stuck in my throat)....takes forever to digest..also, my baby is SUPER active lately!! Wow, I wonder if everything is ok? She is kicking me so hard all the time! and then rests for an hour or two...

Joyce - you got only 6 weeks to go at most, that's awesome! They still don't know whom are you having, boy or girl?

Eternidad - When is your next appt? ARe you going to have another u/s?

Maria- the way the measure the belly is when you go in the office and with a measuring tape she measures from your pubic bone to the tip of your fundus, and this last time mine measure 36 weeks. They do it all the time in my appoitments, to keep track of your growth. I am pretty sure they do yours too, but if they have not said anything to you it means that you are measuring right on target. Glad you are taking good care of your blood sugar and taking your meds.

Eternidad- Don't worry too much. Are they going to do an u/s? If they find that the baby is putting on too much weight they might suggest of delivery early and I am sure definitely not less that 37 weeks. How did they say that your belly 36 weeks??? Your little bundle of joy will be fine. Just take care of yourself. Thank you so much for explaining about the sugar not being in the urine. My OB was so vague and didn't answer. Also he did not tell me the side effects of the oral med I am taking. Luckily I had researched on the internet and also my dietitian called up yesterday and when I told her about the med she asked if my doc had told me the side effects of the meds.

Zuz- I totally agree with you.. Children will learn English no matter what as they will be exposed to other kids and school. How nice that your parents live close by. My parents will be here tomorrow evening...:) I am at home full time now and feels nice.. no rush to go anywhere(work). But I do wake up at 4 every day to go to the bathroom and after that I cannot get back to sleep. I have to wake at least by 8 to take home glucose test and then have breakfast since I don't eat anything in the night as I have to monitor my fasting glucose level. We are 29.1 day today and lets say 10 more weeks to go... :)

Anya-Yes, doc said baby is big and is in 96th percentile, but still under normal. I feel its nothing to do with me having GD as we both are tall and my hubby is big built. He is 6' 2" and I am 5'8". I will be having another u/s in three weeks. Its norm at my ob's place they do u/s every three weeks after 29 weeks. Your princess will be fine.. you are close to 30 weeks and I am sure will be weighing just fine.

Joyce- I am so sorry to hear that your anticipated c- section date is changed. Don't worry too much. You so close...:)

Joyce- sorry to hear your doc changed your c section for June 1st, but don't you think is  a good thing for the baby the longer he/she stays ther until due date the better it is for them, less problems, etc. I am so scared that with my belly being so big and measuring about 8 weeks ahead I end up having mine early. I don't want that, bc there is always a chance the little one migth have some problems at birth or later on in life, enough for us is that we have to turn to IVF to conceive, I don't want any more scares.

I am pretty sure you will do well, and as far for the inmsomnia can you aks them to give you something for it?

Zuz- glad you are doing well and baby is too, I hear you about being tired I can't wait until June 30th is my last day of work before maternity leave. Yipeee.
