Hi!
I know exactly what you are going through. I went into the hospital at 4 1/2 weeks with serve lower back pain. Come to found out I had a cyst on my right ovary. They were doing my HCG levels every two days and they were rising just like they should, but we couldn't see anything on the ultrasound, and finally today we saw something. There can be different reasons why you aren't seeing anything, normally they say if they don't see anything you are miscarrying, but keep your head up. That isn't always true. My doctor told me "In my 20 years as a OBGYN I have only been wrong a handful of times" and he swore I was miscarrying- So, I guess he is going to have to go to 2 handfuls! :) Do you have normal pregnancy symptoms?
Sorry to hear i am coming back from my doctor and the is no cardiac activity so i know how you must be feeling
Hi!
I don't know the time course of your levels, if they are being done daily, they are pretty good. If they are being done every other day, they are not so good.
It is concerning that they don't see anything yet. You definitely should follow up with your doctor for the next ultrasound. If your levels are being done daily, yours should be over 2000, and the ultrasound REALLY should show something. If they cannot seen anything in the uterus, I would begin to be concerned about a tubal pregnancy at this point.
Good luck!
Dr B
